SEA Games: Second gold for Singapore's synchronised swimmers

SINGAPORE - Singapore's team of synchronised swimmers have done the country proud once again by clinching the second gold at the South East Asian (SEA) Games synchronised swimming team free combination final event.
The team grooved in the water to Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman, evoking "playful dances in an intimate jazz lounge" at the OCBC Aquatic Centre Thursday evening, reported The Straits Times.
They were awarded an unofficial score of 77.0667 points. This is the highest so far for the competition this year.
Malaysia, which waltzed to the Game Of Thrones theme song, emerged runners-up with an unofficial score of 73.73333 points.
On Wednesay evening, Singapore's team of synchronised swimmers won the country's first-ever SEA Games gold medal.
The team went into their free routine after leading in the technical routine on Tuesday with 74.3445 points. They beat Malaysia who were close behind, finishing at 74.1667 for free routine.
The synchronised swimming competition ended Thursday night. Singapore has clinched two golds in the team (free and technical) and team free combination, and a silver.
Malaysia, the previous champions which swept all seven golds at the 2001 and 2011 SEA Games, took home the other gold for the duet (free and technical) and two silvers.
Indonesia came in third with 71.6667 points.
