You would think that someone would have invented and marketed this sooner: the selfie spoon. So you can shovel food into your mouth and get a photograph or video while doing it.
Well, Cinnamon Toast Crunch now has one. It's made to snap yourself while eating the cereal from General Mills. And what it is is simply a selfie stick with a spoon attached to the end. It was available for order - it was free (yes, free!) - online to US residents, but is now sold out.
The stick extends to over 76cm, comes only in purple, and has a remote control.
If you're excited about coming up with a similar doohickey, here are a few things you should consider based on observations made by one tester of the selfie spoon: 1. Have a selfie dock that rotates enough so hat at whatever angle, you'll be able to see your face and what you're eating; 2. Don't have a separate remote - otherwise you could just hold an ordinary selfie stick in one hand and a spoon in the other, which would make the selfie spoon redundant; and 3. Make it a little lighter.
So there you go. Selfie lovers, go wild. Just keep it for when you're dining at home, okay?
