2 Singaporeans will compete in Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3

Yvonne Chua and Stephanie Koh emerged triumphant from the field of 406 aspiring K-pop idols who applied to be part of Scoot: K-pop Star Hunt 3.

The Singapore audition for the third season of the talent show took place on September 15 2013 at Bugis+. After whittling down the number of contestants to just 12 finalists, the judges grouped the final 12 into groups of twos and threes to pit them against each other. Three rounds of elimination later - in which the finalists sang and danced their hearts out - Chua and Koh were left standing and clinched their spots in Scoot: K-pop Star Hunt 3.

Thanks to their display of vocal prowess and slick dance moves, Chua and Koh will be flying to Seoul to train at renowned Korean artiste management company FNC Entertainment. Popular K-pop groups CNBlue, FT Island and Juniel are all acts from the FNC Entertainment stable. Along with 14 other contestants from Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia, they will battle to be crowned the winner of the talent show.

After weekly elimination rounds, the top four finalists of Scoot: K-pop Star Hunt will head to Singapore for a special final showcase concert that will decide the ultimate winner.

Singapore singer Derrick Hoh who was part of the panel of judges for the Singapore audition said, "I'm very honoured to be invited as a judge for the Singapore auditions. Having been through a reality singing competition myself, I fully understand the stress these contestants undergo. I'm particularly impressed by some of the contestants, who have shown me raw talent and I am sure once given the proper training, they will be able to shine. Yvonne and Stephanie were outstanding to us as they exhibited the full package of potential stars, showcased through their performances and dominating stage presence, two important factors we often look out for."
