2 starlets also arrested in drug bust

After Jaycee Chan and Kai Ko’s drug arrest on Aug 14, Chinese authorities confirmed that several women were nabbed along with the two actors.

Two of them have been identified as Chinese starlets Alice Li Xiaonan and Chang Yijiao, who reportedly tested positive for cannabis.

Chang is a former member of Korean girl group RaNia.

The two women had reportedly arranged to meet at Chan’s apartment before they were arrested at a foot reflexology centre, Asian Pop News reported.

They reportedly pleaded with the authorities through an influential source not to reveal their identities and to refer to them only as “two Hong Kong female artists”.

GROOMED

Li, who was groomed by the Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), has appeared in films such as As The Light Goes Out and The Midas Touch.

In her latest film, But Always, slated for release next month, she co-stars with Nicholas Tse and Gao Yuan Yuan.

The film distributor is said to be worried that her arrest would affect the film’s box-office takings.

EEG’s manager said at a press conference: “We are unable to contact Alice. Even her family is not able to contact her.

“We have not received any notification. We will not respond to a hypothetical scenario.”

Like Ko, Chan, whose father is the famous Jackie Chan, tested positive for marijuana and admitted his guilt.

The police seized more than 100g of marijuana from Chan’s home.
