The much talked-about wedding between Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok and Chinese model Moka Fang has finally happened.
Contrary to the amount of speculation surrounding it, the banquet was held in a hush-hush fashion today (April 18) at The Peninsula Hong Kong.
The hotel was heavily guarded from the afternoon, with a few security guards chasing reporters away, Ming Pao Daily News reported.
According to photos on Apple Daily's website, Kwok's good friends, singer Julian Cheung, choreographer Sunny Wong and fashion mogul Sham Kar Wai - the husband of former actress Chingmy Yau - were among the guests present.
Kwok's buddies sported red ties, while he put on a red bow tie.
His manager confirmed the wedding took place and thanked everyone for their well-wishes, Apple Daily said.
According to Oriental Daily, at the wedding Fang's father, who was visibly emotional, said to Kwok: "I grew up listening to your songs. Now I'm handing my daughter over to you. I hope you treat her well."
Meanwhile, the secrecy surrounding the wedding extended to the way photographs of the event were released, Sohu News reported, with a photo of Kwok and his groomsmen released first while photos of the bride were only made public later.
Kwok, 51, and Fang, 29, secretly filed a notice of intended marriage on March 4, which meant they had three months to tie the knot.
