Alien role brings Kim fame

Kim Soo Hyun skyrocketed to fame overnight in Asia after My Love From The Star finished its run on TV last month.

In the drama series, which also stars Korean actress Gianna Jun, Kim plays an alien who lands on Earth and lives for 400 years among humans.

He falls in love with an arrogant and ignorant actress, Cheon Song Yi (Jun), just three months before he is bound to return to his planet.

Kim's character Do Min Joon is a professor who is smart, protects the woman he loves and has special powers such as keen senses, teleportation and the ability to stop time.

What has tickled and charmed many female fans is that Do cannot exchange bodily fluids with humans, so he falls extremely ill repeatedly because he can't resist kissing Cheon.

Kim's popularity has attracted offers to act in Singapore TV and film, his agency told Korean media recently.
