Asia's Rising Star wows audience

Crowned Asia's Rising Star at the Singapore Entertainment Awards (SEA) 2014's Celebration Party yesterday, Korean singer Henry from Super Junior-M was easily the highlight of the show.

The party, which saw a 2,500-strong crowd, was held yesterday at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore.

Among other performers were Taiwanese host and singer Alien Huang, Mandopop vocal powerhouse Jia Jia, and Singapore's Budak Pantai.

This is SEA's sixth edition, organised by Singapore Press Holdings and fronted by its Chinese media platforms, including Lianhe Wanbao and UFM 100.3.

More than 30 awards were given out.

Its popularity awards saw a total of 2.95 million votes cast between Feb 27 and April 9. A panel of judges from the local and foreign media industry picked the recipients of the "Best" awards.
