KISS92'S PERFECT MATCH BAGS $60,000 WORTH OF PRIZES

Singapore, 26 October 2013 - It was a perfect gift for a bride and groom-to-be as they won $60,000 worth of prizes earlier today for their upcoming nuptials.

Nicholas Amet, 24, and Victoria Hoo, 23, were crowned Kiss92's Perfect Match at the finale of the station's inaugural contest targeting soon to wed couples. The event, which took place at PARKROYAL on Pickering, was a culmination of the six-week competition organised by SPH UnionWorks' Kiss92.

Kiss92's Perfect Match is a first of its kind radio "reality-show" game, offering a huge prize pool for a couple's dream wedding. It included - $8,888 cash prize from Kiss92, a $10,000 intimate wedding party at PARKROYAL on Pickering, a $10,000 Vera Wang by Serta mattress, $20,000 renovation credit from Icon Interior Design and more services to ease the bill of the couple's wedding.

The contest to find Kiss92's Perfect Match was developed with an aim to encourage couples to understand each other better. Challenges and tasks were created to make them discuss and deal with issues that couples may not have dealt with in their relationship, and of course to have some fun while at it!

Scores were tabulated based on social media challenges where they had to get friends' and fans' support to follow them on various social media platforms, which contributed 20 per cent to the total score. 40 per cent of the scores were attributed to on-air challenges, where couples were tested on their knowledge of each other and even face their future in-laws and partner's best friend. The final 40 per cent of the scores were from the on-ground challenges that required couples to work closely as a team. (Refer to Annex B for challenges and score breakdown)

After an intense final battle at the finale, Nicholas and Victoria were crowned as Kiss92's Perfect Match.

The winning couple said: "We are extremely grateful for not only the $60,000 worth of prizes but also the Kiss92 Perfect Match experience as we learnt a lot more about each other. It is a prize not every couple receives and it gave us a head start for the next phase of our lives. "

Maddy Barber, who helms the morning show and is the station's Assistant Programming Director, said: "Kiss92's Perfect Match was organised as a fun contest for a lucky couple's chance to win a huge prize. It was heartwarming to witness how the contest made each couple closer and for the station to be part of their journey in their new phase in life."

The three couples were selected for their fun, dynamic personalities from about 100 video entries received in early September. Kiss92 is Singapore's only radio station targeting women and families. Based on the latest AC Nielsen Radio Survey (Wave 1, 2013), Kiss92 garnered 419,000 listeners weekly, in less than a year of its first broadcast.
