Henry cavill indeed is super.
The British actor - who was propelled into stardom because of alter ego Superman - has been named the third sexiest male star in the world by readers of Empire magazine.
He lost to Star Trek Into Darkness' Benedict Cumberbatch, who earned top honours, followed by The Avengers' Tom Hiddleston.
Both also hail from Britain. Not that the loss matters to Cavill. The 30-year-old hunk will put on the iconic blue-and-red suit again for Batman vs. Superman, which will be out in 2015.
David Goyer, who wrote Man Of Steel and the upcoming sequel, promises an eye-opening follow-up that features Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader.
The award-winning screenwriter told entertainment website Digital Spy that Man Of Steel was in a way Superman Begins where the hero isn't Superman until the final moments of the movie.
"We wanted him to have that experience of having taken a life and carry that through onto the next films," said Goyer, 47.
"Because he's Superman and because people idolise him, he will have to hold himself to a higher standard." Well, we can now idolise Superman on the small screen, thanks to SingTel mio TV.
Man Of Steel will be premiering exclusively on SingTel mio TV Video On Demand from Oct 23 onwards.
