SINGAPORE - ION Orchard will celebrate "5 Years of Splendour" with a series of activities featuring international entertainers - American singer-songwriter Chris Daughtry and Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao - as well as promotions for shoppers.
Elva Hsiao will perform at the red carpet gala charity auction at the mall's atrium on the Oct 16. All proceeds from the charity auction will go to the beneficiaries of The Community Chest.
This year's fashion concert will see Chris Daughtry perform alongside the runway which features the latest pieces from brands such as BOSS, Guess and Ted Baker. The fashion concert will take place on the Oct 17 at 7pm at the mall's outdoor public square.
To further commemorate their five years, the mall will host the ION Art Photography Series, showcasing a solo exhibition by Singaporean performing arts photographer, Tan Ngiap Heng. The exhibition will run from Oct 20 to Nov 2.
To highlight the shopping experience, prestige watch brands such as Vacheron Constatin and Jaeger LeCoultre as well as shoe retailer, Kurt Geiger, will open its doors in ION Orchard later this year. Credit card American Express has also become the official card partner.
There will also be a mid-tier loyalty programme which will offer special birthday treats, accelerated reward points and unlimited mall WiFi.
Shoppers can also look forward to attractive giveaways such as a pair of return business class tickets and passes to attend the Los Angeles Music Awards in Feb 2015.
