Christopher Lee leaves note for owner of car he hit

SINGAPORE - Singapore actor Christopher Lee was seen urgently looking for the owner of a sports car today (Dec 8), after bumping into the car with his multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

Lianhe Wanbao reported that Lee - getting ready to leave Sembawang Hill Food Centre after a meal with his family - was reversing in his black MPV when he hit the white sports car parked behind him.

A witness told the Chinese-language daily that the accident happened at about 11am.

Lee was seen getting out of his vehicle with a worried look, and appeared to be looking for the driver of the car.

The witness said that Lee's wife, actress Fann Wong, was in the passenger seat with their one-year-old son.

When contacted, Lee told Wanbao that he had gone to the food centre to look for the car's driver, but left about 15 minutes later as neither stall owners nor patrons at the food centre knew of the driver.

Before he left, he left a note with his contact details on the windscreen of the sports car.

He said that he received a call from the driver of the sports car about 15 minutes after leaving.

Lee was involved in a hit-and-run accident in 2006. He was fined $4,500 and jailed for four weeks for that offence.
