Clooney still regrets Batman role

George Clooney still can't shake off the association with Batman - even after 16 years.

The popular US actor, 52, has made many movies in his long career, both in front of or behind the camera, yet his biggest regret remains being the Caped Crusader in 1997's Batman & Robin.

In an interview with trade website Deadline, Clooney revealed that he has a poster of himself as Batman prominently placed in his office to remind himself of what happens when you make a movie for purely commercial reasons.

Batman & Robin was greatly ridiculed when it was released and sort of killed the Batman franchise until Christopher Nolan rebooted it in 2005 with Batman Begins.
