Details on The New Paper Party at Kallang Wave

You've been hearing about the 50 DJs spinning through the night at The New Paper Party at Kallang Wave this Saturday.

But there's much more entertainment lined up before dusk for partygoers at Kallang Wave Mall.

Kallang Wave Mall is the official sponsor for the SPH event, along with official smartphone partner OPPO.

With the mega dance party just a few days away, even performers like Jack & Rai are eagerly counting down the days.

Jack Ho, 37, of the local singing duo, said: "The party sounds awesome and I'm really looking forward to it."

He told TNP they were flattered to be invited to perform.

"We feel very privileged to be the only singing act at the party. Hopefully, we can make the already crazy event even crazier."

The duo will be performing a mix of new and old songs, including their popular hit The Fa La La Song.

Ho said: "We'll be singing some old favourites and a couple of originals. There'll also be upbeat songs to get everyone's feet tapping and set the stage for the 50 DJs."

But once their two-hour set is over, the pair will go from performers to partygoers, Ho added.

"We'll definitely stick around and party as much as we can. I don't know how long we can last but I want to meet as many DJs as possible."

Also taking the stage are local breakdancers, LED dancers and pole dancers.

In line with SG50, The New Paper Party at Kallang Wave will be a truly local affair with an all-Singaporean line-up.

Jig Asia Entertainment director Cash Tan, 32, told TNP: "I wanted to bring local talents together and give them a stage to perform. Partygoers will be treated to a visual spectacle of lights, costumes and dance."

For those with children, the party makes the perfect venue for your next family outing as there are plenty of kid-friendly activities as well.

Get your face painted before popping over to the OPPO booth for a family selfie with the OPPO N3 smartphone.

But don't leave the party empty-handed. The little ones can take home mementos like balloon animals and self-portraits from the balloon sculptors and caricature artists.

If you haven't bought your tickets to the party this Saturday, it's not too late.
