This one is fiesty! Taiwanese DJ Maze wasn't spinning at the club the night her mobile phone got stolen but someone else's hand was working on her as the music thumped away.

The international DJ, who is also known as Lin Chia-ling, caught a woman red-handed stealing her smartphone at a Los Angeles club. Both got into a shouting match after the thief challenged Lin to search her.

A fight then broke out between the two with Lin saying she pulled the woman down and struck her on the head with her hand. Lin reportedly suffered injuries on her hands and legs but managed to get her phone back.

The fracas attracted the attention of other club-goers with some of them, then, realising their phones were missing too.

Lin reckoned the woman was part of a gang of professional thieves. She told Taiwan media that she noticed the thief was taking photos near her at first, and then later, she felt someone reaching for her handbag which aroused her suspicion.

During the commotion, the thief's accomplices had already vanished, so none of the other victims were able to get their phones back, she said.

Her Facebook post on the incident has garnered around 3,800 mostly favourable reactions.
