DVD recommendations: I Give It A Year

Minutes into this antirom com and you already know it's going to be a load of laughs.

The movie starts out with Nat (Rose Byrne) and Josh (Rafe Spall) tying the knot, but their drastically different personalities and lifestyles have everyone, even the priest who marries them, having doubts about the union.

It then dances back and forth between the highlights of their first year as a married couple and scenes at a marriage counsellor's office.

It's a typically hilarious British comedy but some of the jokes are just plain gross, particularly those made by Josh's best friend Dan (Stephen Merchant), who has no filter on his mouth and says the most inappropriate things.

I Give It A Year is intelligent, refreshingly honest and not too sappy.
