Edison Chen and girlfriend Ann Hong have broken up?

Hong Kong actor Edison Chen and his girlfriend of two years Ann Hong, 24, are said to have broken up, according to overseas media reports.

Sina.com reported that speculations of their split were sparked when Hong reportedly removed the 34-year-old actor from her micro-blog and deleted photos of them together.

According to Taiwanese media Ming Pao, Hong discovered text messages from another woman in Chen's mobile phone on his birthday.

Some netizens have commented on Chen and Hong's micro-blog, persuading Hong not to break up with the actor. Some fans have even asked Hong to forgive Chen. However, others pointed out that Chen will never change.

The actor is notorious for his sex scandals in 2008 with several A-list female celebrities, such as Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung and actress Cecilia Cheung, where photos and videos of them were leaked and distributed online.

Chen, who was supposed to appear for the premiere of a new movie last night, cancelled at the last minute. He has yet to respond to the rumours.

The pair started dating while Hong, who is Korean-Chinese, was a sales employee at his Taipei JUICE store in 2012.

Chen, who is known to have a bad temper, reportedly changed his ways while dating Hong and had even cut back on his late night partying habits because of her.
