Now that Christian Bale is not taking part in a new movie portrayal of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, actor Michael Fassbender could be filling in for the role.
Fassbender is said to be in "early talks" to play Mr Jobs, said entertainment magazine Variety on Tuesday, citing sources.
Leonardo DiCaprio had reportedly declined the role of Jobs previously.
The new biopic will be directed by Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame. It will be based on Walter Isaacson's biography, Steve Jobs.
Actor Seth Rogen is in talks to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in the film.
Fassbender is better known for his role as a young Magneto in the X-Men movie series, including May's hit X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
He also starred in Jane Eyre (2011), Prometheus (2012) and 12 Years A Slave (2013).
Fassbender's upcoming movies include Macbeth and X-Men: Apocalypse.
