DURATION: 97 minutes
While not a reinvention of the romance comedy-drama, Stuck In Love still manages to rise above the genre and offer a number of surprisingly sweet moments.
Three years after his divorce, dad and famed novelist Bill (Greg Kinnear, left) is still so hung up on his ex-wife (Jennifer Connelly) that he stalks her at home every night, observing her every move through the window. His teenage son Rusty (Nat Wolff) and collegiate daughter Samantha (Lily Collins) struggle to navigate their romantic and writing lives as well.
The movie's greatest success is in its casting decisions. Every actor is likeable - even actress Collins, who has previously been criticised for being mediocre and forgettable. But it is the men who truly shine, as actors Kinnear, Wolff and Logan Lerman are so forlorn and earnest that you cannot help but root for them.
