Foo Fighters head back to the studio

US Rock band Foo Fighters put rumours of a break-up to bed as they hit the studio to record their eighth album.

The quintet's last album, Wasting Light, was in 2011. Fans went into panic mode last year when frontman Dave Grohl, 44, hinted that the group would not play together again after their world tour.

He recently told UK radio station Xfm: "I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters, without question."

Lead guitarist Chris Shiflett told Rolling Stone last week: "We actually just started making a new Foo Fighters record within the last few weeks."
