Forbes names Calvin Harris as world’s highest-paid DJ

CALVIN Harris, 29, has been named the highest-paid DJ in the world, earning US$46 million (S$58 million) over the last year. The Scottish spinmeister-producer makes most of his money from club gigs and can command up to US$200,000 for some performances, according to Forbes' latest rich list.

He beat peers like Tiesto (US$32 million), David Guetta (US$30 million), Swedish House Mafia (US$25 million) and Deadmau5 (US$21 million).

Earlier this year, Harris was signed as the first exclusive resident DJ at Las Vegas superclub Hakkasan and recently made UK chart history by becoming the first artist to have nine top 10 hits from one studio album (18 Months).
