Former Playboy model extradited to Australia: report

SYDNEY - Former Playboy model Brandi Brandt arrived in Australia on Friday after being extradited from the United States to face a drug importation charge, reports said.

Brandt, who was once married to Motley Crue bass player Nikki Sixx, is alleged to have been involved with a syndicate which hid cocaine on Qantas and United Airlines passenger planes flying between Los Angeles and Sydney.

The parcels were reportedly picked up by employees of an airline catering company who had access to the planes in Australia.

Documents filed at Sydney's Central Local Court on Friday allege that between July and December 2007 Brandt was part of a conspiracy to import a commercial quantity of cocaine into the country, Australian Associated Press reported.

She also allegedly dealt with more than Aus$130,000 (US$121,385) in the proceeds of crime that year.

Brandt, 44, was remanded in custody and is set for a court hearing next month.

Last month, her former boyfriend, motorcycle stuntman Rusty Setser was extradited to Sydney to face similar charges.
