Besties over boys.

We now know who Taylor Swift (left) would rather spend her time with these days.

She might have overworked the dating scene in the past with her string of celebrity hook-ups, but 2014 seems to be the year of newfound female friendships, with US singer-actress Selena Gomez continuing to hold top spot since they got close again in 2012.

The currently single 24-year-old US singer is so popular of late - she has been spotted about town with a long list of celeb chums, from models to actresses to athletes.

But will Swift, who will be in town for a concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 12, start writing songs about them, too?

We won't be surprised to see these eight buddies earning mentions in her upcoming hits.

BEST PAL #1: KARLIE KLOSS

They are so tight they are practically carbon copies of each other now.

Earlier this month, Swift and the 21-year-old US model sported identical pouts in an Instagram photo while getting ready for the Met Gala.

Last month, they stepped out for a girls' night out in New York City in matching wardrobe pieces. With their blonde hair and lithe figures, it's getting hard to tell the statuesque beauties apart.

The pair hit "bestie" status when they went on a Californian road trip in March, hitting up the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, hiking in a forest and going to the beach.

BEST PAL #2: LENA DUNHAM

How close are Swift and Girls star Lena Dunham?

Close enough to have a rooftop picnic-cum-slumber party together.

Swift wished Dunham, 28, "happy birthday" earlier this month on Instagram, calling the latter "magical, kind-hearted, wondrous".

Indeed, Swift trusts the US actress enough to turn to her for fashion tips.

She told E! News: "Lena always has great websites and shops at great stores. She always tells me her newest obsession, whether it's a new website, a blog or a store. She's really good with that stuff."

BEST PAL #3: LILY ALDRIDGE

Aldridge, 28, is one of the many Victoria's Secret Angels who has fostered close bonds with Swift, who sang at the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last year.

Last month, Swift and the US model played pool together and posted a snap on Instagram with the caption "Lily, giving me major Audrey Hepburn vibes, while schooling me at pool".

BEST PAL #4: SARAH HYLAND

The 23-year-old Modern Family star accompanied Swift last month to off-Broadway play Under My Skin in New York City.

They posed for a photo before the show and captioned it: "We decided we were dressed like a strait-laced mom and her rebellious teen daughter.

BEST PAL #5: GRACIE GOLD

Swift casts her BFF net wide enough to even include US Olympic figure skater Gracie Gold.

"First we baked a bunch of cookies and then we made faces" was the caption accompanying an Instagram photo Swift posted with Gold, 18, last month.

BEST PAL #6: ED SHEERAN

Swift and the 23-year-old English singer - the sole man on the list - are such great friends that he seeks her opinion on girls and music.

Sheeran, who sang Everything Has Changed with Swift, said recently that Swift has given his current girlfriend her seal of approval.

Last year, he told MTV News that he sent his songs to Swift to get her view because "she's a good judge of what's good or not good".

BEST PAL #7: INA GARTEN

Swift turned culinary princess when she served up a storm with the US host of the food show Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, 66, who is her personal "hero", in a Hamptons kitchen.

BEST PAL #8: LORDE

The Kiwi singer ate lunch with Swift in New York last week and they went to the beach back in February.

Their friendship prompted Australian radio DJ Kyle Sandilands to cheekily ask Lorde in March if the two were more than friends. His cheap jab annoyed the 17-year-old, who shot back: "Don't ever try it. It's not working."
