Girls' Generation, supermodel Liu Wen among stars at opening of new Charles & Keith store

Homegrown shoe brand Charles & Keith opened its newest boutique at Ngee Ann City on Friday, with a glitzy afterparty featuring big names from the local and international scene.

They included South Korean girl group Girls' Generation's Hyo Yeon, Seo Hyun and Yu Ri, Chinese supermodel Liu Wen and Korean American actor Daniel Henney.

Also present were popular fashion bloggers Bryan Boy, Han Huo Huo and Yoshiko Kris-Webb and local celebrities Zoe Tay and Fann Wong and Sheila Sim.

The stars were togged out in the latest Charles & Keith footwear. There was also a fashion parade of Charles & Keith's Autumn Winter '13 collection. About 500to 600 people attended the event.

The newest boutique, which has a retail space of 170 sq metres, is the brand's 389th boutique across the world, including South Korea, Japan, China and the Philippines.

In 2011, L Capital Asia, the private equity arm of luxury goods group Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) bought a stake in the brand, which opened its first store in Amara Hotel in 1996.
