Glenn Ong and Flying Dutchman to helm morning show on ONE FM 91.3

SINGAPORE - Popular radio DJs Glenn Ong and Mark Van Cuylenburg (The Flying Dutchman) are making a return to local radio on SPH's ONE FM 91.3, the station announced today.

The duo had left MediaCorp last year, and had previously co-hosted Class 95FM's morning show from 2004 to 2013. Their last radio show together was in August 2013.

Ong and Cuylenburg will host ONE FM's Breakfast Show on weekdays from 6 to 10 am, along with Andre Hoeden. It is the only radio station in Singapore with a target audience of men over 30 years old.

Glenn Ong, who left his previous employment in January 2015, says: "I'm raring to go after a six month break. It was great that I had time to pursue my passion for Brazilian Jujitsu and spending more time with my loved ones, but I've missed radio. I'm refreshed, re-energised, and ready to take on the airwaves again and there is no one else better to do it with than with my radio partner for life."

His co-host, the Flying Dutchman is pleased to make a return to radio. He said: "I am lucky to be able to spend more time with my family during my break and concentrate on my business but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss radio. Well now I am back! Glenn and The Flying Dutchman are back. For real."

On working with Glenn Ong again, he said: "I mentioned in past interviews that he is my best radio partner and he still is. Together, we keep our show real and our reunion is the beginning of good things to come with a radio station that I believe knows what they are doing."

Mr Jamie Meldrum, Senior Programme Director at ONE FM said that the duo have a "great understanding of what their listeners want, which translates to great radio".

The news of the duo joining ONE FM comes after the station's Guess the DJ contest, where $10,000 cash was up for grabs to one listener who correctly guessed the mystery DJs joining the station.

Tune in to ONE FM 91.3 for details of upcoming activities with the breakfast show.
