US pop star Selena Gomez has cancelled her upcoming Singapore concert.
Local concert organiser Midas Promotions released a press statement last Friday saying: "We regret to announce that Selena's show in Singapore on 21 February 2014 is cancelled... We will advise shortly regarding ticket refunds."
The 21-year-old has also cancelled her Australian tour in the same month, and axed concert dates in Asia, including Malaysia and Philippines, saying that she needs to focus on herself.
"My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them," she said in a statement.
"But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be."
Gomez finished her Stars Dance tour in the US and Europe late last month and has been on a break since.
