This funny and very watchable throwback to the glory days of action flicks - when its stars were at their peak - is a great escape from the woes of the world for a couple of hours.
Sylvester Stallone is a prison security expert who gets set up and locked away in a maximum security facility where Arnold Schwarzenegger is the resident "go-to" inmate.
Person Of Interest's Jim Caviezel is the sadistic warden, Vinnie "Juggernaut" Jones an even more sadistic guard, and everyone seems to be having fun even at the most brutal moments.
Stallone gets more screen time, and his character's reasons for doing what he does are credibly woven into the story. But Arnie gets the bigger laughs (his "crazed German" act is a hoot) and there's one cheer-worthy moment - oh, you'll know it - when the Terminator rises again.
The actual escape plan seems a bit random and the wrap-up is too rushed, but on the whole it's better than both stars' respective solo efforts from earlier this year.
