Guinness Arthur Day's concert to be held at The Promontory@Marina Bay

SINGAPORE - Guinness Singapore has revealed tonight's Guinness Arthur's Day concert venue - The Promontory@Marina Bay - as well as the winners of the 'Play on the Day' local band competition - Ellipsis - a quartet of three guys and a girl who were handpicked by and open for The Fray.

Guinness Arthur's Day, housed in a purpose-built, air-conditioned arena with amazing views of Singapore's enviable skyline, is setup in the shape of the iconic Guinness pint glass, situated at The Promontory@Marina Bay (11 Marina Boulevard, Singapore 018940).

The brand has truly upped the concert venue ante with Guinness Arthur's Day this year, promising an enthralling concert-going experience, where guests can kick back and sip on pints of the black stuff at the open-air Arthur Guinness lounge, and rock along with The Fray and hundreds of like-minded fans in the unique concert hall which forms the head of the Guinness pint.

Areas with photo walls and two 'bold challenge' stations also feature as part of the partially alfresco venue, allowing guests to try their hand at the Boldest Busker and Cheers to Arthur activations that set the heart of the city abuzz in August. Indeed, guests will be partying the night away in a pint, bragging rights that only the 1,759 boldest fans can lay claim to!

Upping the novelty factor a notch higher, a Singapore-centred Guinness Heritage Collection will be unveiled at the celebrations, allowing concert-goers to view memorabilia of time past.

The previously unrevealed collection is an extension of the 'Guinness by the Decades' Exhibition, currently open at the Mint Museum of Toys till 30 September.

Steeped in the pages of Singapore's rich history, the selection of memorabilia showcases Guinness' 144-year long legacy in the country, which continues to this day.

Of the artefacts currently exhibited at the Museum, items such as miniature and stoneware beer bottles to quirky metal show-cards are a rare find, kept in mint condition from the mid-1900s.

Guests can reach The Promontory by MRT, alighting at the Bayfront station and taking Exit D, or by taking buses 97 or 97E, alighting by the Breeze Shelters along Marina Boulevard.

Guests are not advised to drive to the venue.
