Cinema still: Dark Places starring Charlize Theron

No, this has nothing to do with Charlize Theron's time in a relationship with Sean Penn, although it seems just as depressing.

She plays Libby (above), a survivor of a mass murder - the Kansas Prairie Massacre - and her imprisoned scary-weirdo brother (House Of Cards' Corey Stoll) may or may not be the killer.

This mystery is based on a novel by Gillian Flynn who also penned the mystery-thriller Gone Girl, so I guess there's going to be a startling revelation where maybe Rosamund Pike's character shows up surprisingly alive.

"I'm not ready for this," says Theron's character as she's drawn deeper into the mystery.

You know, that could actually be the same thing the actress said to Mr Penn.
