Jackie Chan reportedly denied access to see son at detention centre

Jackie Chan was alleged denied access to visit his son in a detention centre as Jaycee is being held for a criminal offence, media reports say.

Jaycee and his good friend Kai Ko were arrested on Aug 14. Both tested postive for drug consumption and admitted to smoking marijuana.

Beijing police had seized 100g of marijuana from Jaycee's apartment and he is suspected of harbouring other drug users.

According to an article in Asian Pop News, last night, Jackie Chan was seen at a club house in deep discussion with his friends over the matter.

It was reported that Jackie Chan looked uneasy and it is likely that he was discussing his son's case.

Jackie Chan, the anti-drug ambassador for China in 2009, has apologised to the public over the matter.

He said: "I want to say this to Jaycee: You made a mistake and you have to bear the consequences.

"As a father, I am willing to face the road ahead of us together.

"Lastly, I failed to teach my son well and I have to bear the responsibility.

"Together with Jaycee, I would like to bow deeply and apologise to the society."
