Jay Chou's concert at National Stadium postponed till Dec 27

SINGAPORE - Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou's Nov 8 concert at the National Stadium will be postponed till Dec 27, the Singapore Sports Hub announced today.

The Singapore leg of the Opus 2 Jay 2014 World Tour will take place at 8pm. Original tickets will be valid for use on the new date, while refund requests must be made by Nov 9.

Earlier, the New Paper had quoted Singapore Sports Hub's chief operating officer Oon Jin Teik as saying on Monday that the concert would proceed as planned.

The comment came after a clash in schedules at the National Stadium was highlighted by the paper.

Singapore will co-host the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup with Vietnam between Nov 22 and Dec 20; and the AFF requires stadiums to clear their schedules for at least 15 working days prior to the start of the tournament.

Chou's concert on the original date as well as a Nov 15 rugby match between the Maori All Blacks and the Asia Pacific Dragons would have conflicted with this requirement.
