JJ Lin has a crush

Taipei - Newly crowned Best Mandarin Male Singer JJ Lin said he is now ready for love.

At the after-party of the Golden Melody Awards on Sunday after taking the prize, the Singapore singer-songwriter revealed that he has a crush on someone, and now that he has won recognition in his career, it was time to emphasise romance.

"It's in the observation phase. I haven't had time to work on it," he said of his secret crush.

He said the girl, who is not in show business, is among those who messaged their congratulations on his win. He said he would announce the romance if they are seriously dating, reported Apple Daily.

At Taiwan's version of the Grammys last Saturday, Lin, 33, slipped after leaving the stage where he had accepted the award, and was on Sunday morning nursing a swollen right ankle. "I didn't think the first thing I would do after winning was to apply an ice compress," he quipped to reporters.
