SINGAPORE - Singapore star JJ Lin appears in a music video for Ayumi Hamasaki, and "marries" her at the end of the video.
Hamasaki's new song The Gift is written by Lin, and will be featured in her album A One. It is scheduled for release on April 8.
The music video for the single, uploaded on Youtube on March 16, has been viewed more than 450,000 times.
Accompanied by Lin on a grand piano, the J-pop star croons the ballad dressed in a floral gown.
At the end of the video, Lin slips a ring on her finger, and kisses her forehead as she smiles sweetly.
The queen of J-pop was a guest star at JJ Lin's concert in Taipei last month.
He first announced that he wrote a song for her there, and called it "a gift" for Hamasaki, 36, and her fans.
She told the concert-goers in English: "JJ made me cry, because this song is too beautiful!"
The two had met through a mutual friend - Singaporean celebrity stylist Alvin Goh. Goh said he styled Lin and Hamasaki for the music video.
Goh, Hamasaki and her husband also watched Lin's concert in Taipei on Feb 14, Valentine's Day. She then performed a duet with Lin the next night.
Hamasaki's husband is a 26-year-old medical student from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). They met while she was on holiday in Los Angeles in 2013, and married last March.
