John Legend, Pet Shop Boys and Ziggy Marley to perform at F1

Three award-winning performers, R&B singer-songwriter John Legend, veteran British electronic pop duo Pet Shop Boys and reggae star Ziggy Marley, will be performing at this year's Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, announced race promoter Singapore GP in a statement today.

Legend will hold a pre-race performance on Sept 21 at the Village Stage in Zone 1, while Pet Shop Boys are expected to perform at the same venue the night before on Sept 20.

Marley will take to the stage in Zones 1 and 4 on Sept 20 and Sept 21 respectively. This will be the first time the eldest son of the legendary Bob Marley is performing in Singapore.

"I am looking forward to my first trip to Singapore, getting to know the people, the culture and sharing our music," said Marley, who is currently on tour in support of his fifth solo studio album, Fly Rasta.

To kick off the F1 weekend will be Taiwanese rock band Mayday. The quintet are slated to perform at the Padang Stage on Sept 19.

More acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Visit www.singaporegp.sg for ticket details.
