US actor Johnny Depp, 50, is said to be in "final discussions" to reprise his role in the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Alice In Wonderland, which raked in US$1 billion (S$1.26 billion) worldwide.
However, no updates have been released as to whether his co-stars Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter will be signing on for the second instalment.
The first film's director and Depp's good friend, Tim Burton, is reportedly not returning for the follow-up, which will instead be helmed by The Muppets director James Bobin, according to online magazine Deadline.
