Jonas brother lost virginity at 20

Now that US boy band Jonas Brothers are a thing of the past, 24-year-old Joe Jonas of the pop trio has opened up about losing his virginity at the age of 20.

For the Dec 9 issue of New York magazine, he penned an essay titled Joe Jonas: My Life As A Jonas Brother that discussed, among other things, the brothers' promise rings which they started wearing when they were tweens.

Jonas - whose famous exes include Ashley Greene, Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift - insists it was never their intention to be the poster boys for abstinence from sex until marriage and they decided to remove their rings a few years ago.

He wrote: "I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I'm glad I waited for the right person because you look back and you go, 'That girl was bats*** crazy. I'm glad I didn't go there.'"
