Hong Kong stars Julian Cheung Chi-lam and Linda Chung Ka-yan have been crowned the new television king and television queen at the TVB Star Awards Malaysia 2013, major Chinese dailies reported.

Better known as Chilam, Cheung won the Favourite Actor award for his role as the suave playboy pilot Captain Cool in hit drama Triumph in the Skies 2.

Meanwhile, Chung was recognised for her performance in Brother's Keeper.

At the award presentation ceremony in Genting Highlands, Chilam joked that he would request to play more flirtatious roles in the future.

Sin Chew Daily reported Linda as saying: "I never thought I would win. Thank you all for your support over the years."

The 43-episode show Triumph 2 swept away nine other awards, including Favourite TVB Drama, Favourite Supporting Actor (Him Law) and Favourite Supporting Actress (Nancy Wu).

Kenneth Ma and Tavia Yeung won Favourite On-Screen Couple for playing husband and wife in The Hippocratic Crush II.
