Kimye kicked off their wedding weekend in Paris with an opulent party in the Palace of Versailles.

Hiring out the iconic Hall of Mirrors, the bash, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian managed to keep the wow-factor high even as thousands of curious onlookers, fans and paparrazi descended on their venue.

In the day running up to the party, the celebrity couple have been running around Paris pushing their way through throngs of people at every stop Bodyguards had to help them get through a swarm of photographers as they visited Paris shops.

When Kardashian, 33, appeared for the bash, the French capital was agog, and perhaps a bit galled, at her daring white tuxedo gown that defied gravity to cling to her voluptuous curves, New York Daily News reported.

Flashing her cleavage with a plunging neckline that dropped to her midriff, and a slit to the top of her left thigh, Kardashian made the most of the Maison Martin Margiela dress.

West, 36, also dared to bare by showing his pecs in a beige-coloured suit. He accessorised his chest with a gold chain that matched his betrothed's sandals.

Entertainment at the ceremony was by Lana del Rey, who took the stage to serenade Kimye - upon West's request - with her song Young And Beautiful, Mail Online reported.

From inside the party, Mr Giancarlo Giammetti, the honorary president of the Valentino Fashion House, shared snaps of the happy couple as they took the stage to greet guests.

Other wedding guests included fashion writer Andre Leon Talley, tennis ace Serena Williams, model Chrissy Teigen and her singer-husband John Legend, and rapper Q-Tip.

Kardashian and friends were photographed in front of the Louvre Museum on Thursday night. She reportedly held her bachelorette party at several hotspots.

"I'm so lucky! I have the best friends in the whole wide world! #ParisNights #LastSupper," she captioned a picture of her dining with sisters Khloé, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and friends.

E! News reported that the women dined in the ultra chic Costes Hotel, where dinner costs upwards of 300 euros (S$510) a person.
