Kiss92 climbs to top spot

Kiss92 is Singapore's No. 1 English music radio station, according to the latest Nielsen radio survey released yesterday.

The results were based on share and time spent listening.

The station, run by SPH UnionWorks, recorded a jump in cumulative listenership - from 419,000 to 485,000.

Since its launch in September last year, Kiss92 has been rolling out a slew of station and partner activities to engage fans on-air, online and on the ground.

The station mainly plays pop music and also features experts who comment on topics likes health and fashion.

"It definitely shows that we are on the right track and we will continue to keep up the momentum and grow from strength to strength," said senior programme director Jamie Meldrum.

HOT FM91.3 retains its No. 1 English hit music station position with 333,000 listeners.

This survey also showed a decline in listenership for all Chinese radio stations.

MediaCorp's Class95 suffered the biggest loss in listenership.
