Actor Kim Woo-bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, according to his agency on Wednesday.

"Kim Woo-bin wasn't feeling good and recently visited a doctor. We found out that he has nasopharyngeal cancer," Sidus HQ said in a statement. "He started receiving drug treatment and radiation therapy. Please cheer and support him."

The agency's official also said he will focus on getting treatment for a while.

Nasopharyngeal cancer affects the nasopharynx, which is in the upper part of the throat, behind the nose.

Kim was preparing to start filming the upcoming film tentatively titled, "Docheong," in summer.

The production team of the film said that it will begin filming the movie later and wait for him to return with good health.
