Lamborghinis and more at Jack Neo comedy shoot

SINGAPORE - Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Ferraris and Porsches rolled into the open-air Orchard Link site, along with a host of celebrities, spotlights and cameras.

All were there to shoot a scene in Lingo Lingo Where You Go, a 50-minute comedy film partially sponsored by the irememberSG fund, under the Singapore Memory Project.

The movie follows the life of a man, played by YouTube personality Tan Jian Hao, who wakes up from a decade-long coma to a world of unfamiliar Singlish terms and phrases.

Singaporean director Jack Neo, who runs J Team Productions, is the movie's executive producer, while its director and screenwriter is J Team producer Shawn Tan, 26.

Lingo Lingo also stars local actors such as Hayley Woo, Tosh Zhang and Wang Wei Liang, who joined Neo on site yesterday.

To borrow the cars, Mr Tan approached lawyer Chia Boon Teck, founder and president of sports car club ExotiCars, who rallied his members to help.

Mr Tan said: "We chose 50 cars to represent SG50, and we used sports cars because they symbolise the fast-talking way of Singaporeans, and they're a sign of our success and prosperity."
