Talk a Good Game by Kelly Rowland
In the Destiny's Child trinity, Michelle Williams is the gospel-singing good girl, Beyonce the breakout star, and Kelly Rowland the ... what again?
Lacking a signature voice like Queen Bey, she has had to try to cultivate a bad girl image a la other middle-of-the-road R&B starlets like Ciara and Keri Hilson.
But Rowland is not convincingly bad enough for her album to warrant a explicit content warning.
While she attempts to talk about the thug life with rapper Pusha T on Street Life, she also has some inexplicably sweet tracks like Gone (featuring Wiz Khalifa).
The latter actually shares a melody line with, of all things, a track from Justin Bieber's last album, while the chorus references Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi.
Can she make up her mind?
Even when she goes for controversy on the much-discussed Dirty Laundry - talking about Beyonce-envy and an abusive relationship - it's a snoozefest.
