Malaysian singer sorry for throwing drunken fit in Taiwan

Award-winning Malaysian singer Gary Chaw has apologised to the public for throwing a drunken fit during a performance in Taiwan, reported Guang Ming Daily.

Tendering his apology during a press conference in Taipei on Monday, Chaw also promised to quit drinking.

"I will not drink alcohol any more," he said, adding that he needed some space to work on his marriage.

Chaw also said that he would not quit the entertainment industry while his manager had told the media that she would not give up on him.

This was the second time that Chaw had been caught misbehaving while drunk.

There was speculation that his wife had temporarily moved out with their two children after the latest incident.

In 2010, Chaw was spotted in a scuffle with Hong Kong artiste Justin Lo by the side of a road in Hong Kong after drinking at a pub.
