Margaret Cho to bring Psycho Tour to Singapore

SINGAPORE - Get ready to LOL. Famed comedian Margaret Cho will be bringing her Pyscho Tour to Singapore on March 5 next year.

The no-holds-barred Grammy and Emmy nominated comedian will perform in Singapore for the first time at Kallang Theatre, organiser LA Comedy Live announced on Wednesday.

In a press release, Margaret Cho said the show will be about 'insanity' and the anger she feels about events going on in the world.

"It makes me so crazy - hence the title: 'THE PSYCHO TOUR' because there is no 'I' in team but there is a 'CHO' in psycho," she said.

"I'm trying to bring some joy to the hysteria and insanity. It's great when you can take something that's very tragic and turn it around. That's what I am doing," she added.

Cho will reportedly dedicate parts of the show to her good friends and comedians Robin Williams and Joan Rivers, who both died this year.

The Korean American star is considered a pioneer among women in comedy, and has gained a huge following since the 1990s.

"The audience at my shows don't necessarily consider themselves traditional comedy fans. I seem to be a secure alternative for people who don't think they're being represented in society. They come because my point of view satisfies a lot of what needs to be said out there, and that makes me really proud," she said.

Tickets for The Psycho Tour are priced between $88 to $148, and will be available for sale at Sistic from December 18.
