She resembles US celebrity Kim Kardashian but Ms Claudia Ochoa Felix now has netizens buzzing after being named as the alleged leader of an infamous Mexican hit squad.
Ms Felix, nicknamed "The Empress of Antrax" and "Mexico's Kim Kardashian" by her fans, is thought to be the new leader of the Los Antrax hit squad belonging to the Sinaloa cartel.
In turn, it is said to be behind many revenge killings and other criminal acts.
The Sinaloa cartel has been described by US intelligence agencies as "the most powerful drug trafficking organisation in the world", Daily Mail Online reported.
Ms Felix married a Sinaloa drug trafficker with whom she had three children, but they later separated.
She has strongly denied the claim of having criminal connections, which was initially reported by the Blog del Narco website.
The 27-year-old wrote on Twitter that suggestions of her involvement in any criminal organisation were "cowardly lies and slander".
And instead of keeping a low profile, Ms Felix posted on social media outlets, like Twitter, photos showing her lavish lifestyle and passion for firearms.
A customised pink AK-47 assault rifle coated with skulls and crossbones pattern was posted on her Instagram account.
It has been made private since the media started focusing on her.
She also posts selfies that show off her curvaceous figure and designer clothes news.com.au reported.
There is even a photo of her son lying with hundreds of banknotes on his body.
Such is Ms Felix's popularity that she had 100,000 followers on Twitter before she disabled her account.
There are no current police investigations into Ms Felix, who is reportedly often seen with heavily armed bodyguards at the main discos and nightclubs of Mazatlan, Culiacan and Guadalajara.
Since 2006, a deadly drugs war has raged in Mexico and it has claimed about 100,000 lives as gangs fight over turf and carry out revenge killings.
