Jared Harris is a really good choice for a horror movie.
He looks kinda scary. He talks kinda scary.
You can imagine him getting up to all kinds of horrible things!
Here, he plays a professor who takes a haunted girl (Olivia Cooke) under his wing.
He thinks that science can cure her, and so he and his students take her out to a creepy old house in the country where they can subject her to a bunch of tests and what have you.
What could possibly go wrong?
They also bring along a cameraman (Sam Claflin) to document the mayhem, and he ends up falling for the girl.
Some good scares here, but it gets a bit kooky at the end - not that I mind, though.
