Movie picks: Foodies

Movies about food always make you feel hungry.

But Foodies also leaves you feeling envious of the characters' jet-set lifestyle.

The documentary revolves around the self-styled influencers of the haute cuisine world, following five food bloggers - Aiste Miseviciute, Perm Paitayawat, Andy Hayler, Katie Keiko and Steven Plotnicki - who traverse the globe in search of the best fine dining restaurants.

While Foodies is nowhere near the level of the awesome 2011 food documentary Jiro Dreams Of Sushi, it sheds some light on the lengths people go to for food, the culinary wonders some cutting-edge restaurants are producing and just how pompous food critics can be.
