Movie review: Escape Plan (NC16)

Rating: 2 out of 5

Speaking as a dumb guy, I must say I've always been thankful and honoured to be a part of one of Hollywood's most valued demographics.

That said, Escape Plan is too dumb even for me.

Sylvester Stallone plays a guy who makes his living by breaking out of prisons, helping the prison industry to tighten up its game.

He bites off a bit more than he can chew comfortably when he accepts a job for a super-secret prison for international terrorists.

It seems that someone is out to get him, and so he teams up with a fellow jailbird (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in a desperate attempt for freedom.

Basically, I didn't buy a second of this film. The characters are cardboard and the escapes are far-fetched.

It looks like a direct-to-video offering from the 90s.
