MP Baey Yam Keng to take on lead role in new play

SINGAPORE - Popular social media Member of Parliament (MP) Baey Yam Keng will be starring in his first lead role in a new charity play showing this December.

The production aims to help raise funds for needy students in Hwa Chong Institution and vulnerable residents in Tampines North, said a media release.

Mr Baey will be honing his acting skills as a romantic blogger in a charity play "Like Me, I Like".

Veteran DJ Foong Wai See and radio DJ Kun Hua will also be joining the cast of this heart-warming story revolving around social media platforms and how courage, love, 'bromance', friendships, secrets, desires and rivalries flourish at work.

The play will be accompanied by live music performed by Evan Liao - a music maestro who can play 16 instruments, and the theme song is sung by local singer Aaron Lim.

The cast members will also be dressed by cultural medallion award winner Dick Lee. He will be whipping up a fashionable wardrobe designed by local talents.

The play will be showing from Dec 4 to 7 and tickets start from $35 that are available for purchase at Sistic.
