Along with a new made-under image, the US rapper has dropped her larger-than-life attitude and filthy rap verses to reveal a mellow side in this new almost-ballad.
Yes, Minaj... and a ballad. Strange!
The song, off her upcoming album The Pink Print, is one she describes as her "fave", "special" and her "heart and soul".
She definitely bares her heart and soul in this one.
LANA DEL REY - SHADES OF COOL
She plays it cool in this slow number, turning it up a notch or two with trademark Del Rey falsetto. But otherwise, it goes on at a record slow speed, even by her standards.
It has been a busy few days for the US singer, who dropped Shades Of Cool just days after she performed for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West - reportedly for a whopping US$2.8 million (S$3.5 million) - at their pre-wedding celebration party at the Palace of Versailles.
LADY ANTEBELLUM - BARTENDER
This is not quite the typical heartbreak anthem.
For one, it is an upbeat singalong tune not about crying your heart out but chasing away the pain with a great night out.
It is not like previous singles Need You Now and Just A Kiss. Tthis new treat from the US country group will have the crowd moving.
