INDONESIA - Musician Ahmad Dhani admitted on Thursday that he had spoiled his underage sons by buying them posh cars including a BMW, a Jaguar and a Mitsubishi Lancer.
After questioning by the Jakarta Police, Dhani said that he bought his eldest son Al, 16, a BMW, second son El, 14, a Jaguar, and the youngest Ahmad Abdul Qodir Jaelani, otherwise known as Dul, 13, a Lancer.
"But they're not allowed to drive the cars themselves. I've provided them each with a driver," said Dhani.
Dul has been named a suspect in Sunday's deadly pile-up that left six people dead. He was driving the Lancer on the toll road from Bogor, West Java, to Jakarta in the early hours of Sunday morning when his car crossed the central reservation and slammed into oncoming traffic. The Lancer collided with a Daihatsu Gran Max, which in turn hit a Toyota Avanza.
